Chamba
is in the highest situated place in
the Ravi Valley and only 56 km from
Dalhousie. It is the capital of the
ancient kingdom and later was mane
after Champavati, daughter of Raja
Sahil Varma. Chamba has its own style
of architecture and art, miniatures
and handicrafts. |

Temple |
there
is a group of six ancient temples carved
in stone.The temples are Dedicated to both
Shiva and Vishnu and were built in around
the 8th century AD. The temples are very
old and richly ornamented. |

museum has a rich collection of fine miniatures
of Kangra, Basholi and Chamba schools of
painting. There are also some murals and
paintings of Rang Mahal Palace which was
damaged by fire. |

to the Chaugan or the cultural centre.It
has a old bronze image of the Chaturmurti,
the four armed statue of Lord Vishnu. |
