Dalhousie is a small town isolated by high mountain ranges. The British Governor General, Lord Dalhousie visited this place and around and became a regular visitor of this place so this attractive tinny town named after him.

The town is on the top of wooded hills covered with deodar and pine.Dalhousie offers some good picnic spots which is still untouched.

Subhash Baoli:

It gives a enchanting view of snow capped mountain ranges and a fmous spot for recreation.

Kalatope:

It is just 5 Km from Dalhousie and a very beautyful place. The little Kalatope Sanctuary is there where visitors can see deer, bears and leopards.

Bara Pathar:

A small temple of Kali Mata is there in the village of Ahla enrouting the way of Kalatope.

Khajjiar :

If one enjoy trekking,it is just one day walk from Dalhousie. The place is surrounded by deodar forests and has a small lake with floating island. a forest rest house, a little temple with a golden spire and a golf course. (22 km) Just 27-km from Dhoudar the beautiful little plain of
