Kota
is situated on the bank of the river
Chambal. It is a modern industrial
area consisting many forts, palaces,
temples and gardens. In early 17th
century, during the reign of the Mughal
Emperor Jahangir, Rao Ratan Singh,
the ruler of Bundi gave a smaller
part of his kingdom to his son Madho
Singh. Since then Kota became a hallmark
of the Rajput glamour and culture. |
