Bikaner
Bikaner was founded in 1488
by the Rathore prince Bika, eldest son of Rao Jodha of Marwar.
The town is situated directly on the ancient caravan routes
which used to link west and central asia and North India.
This place is still a major point of trade activities. The
city is famous for tha hand knotted carpets, Papad, Namkin,
Bhujia and Spongy Rasgullas.

Junagarh
Fort This
fort was constructed by Raja Rai Singh during 1589a-
1594.This ia one the few forts in India that still
unconquered. The major portions of the fort are Anup
Mahal, Ganga Niwas, Durbar Hall, Har Mandir, Gaj Mandir,
Sheesh Mahal, Karan Mahal, Phool Mahal, Chandra Mahal,
Chini Burj etc. The interiors and sculpted stones
of the palace with golden leaf painting are worth
visiting this place.

Lalgarh
Palace, Bikaner This
is one of the architectural masterpiece in red sandstone
built by Maharaja Ganga Singh in the memory of his
father Maharaja Lal Singh. The palace is beautifully
decorated with lattice and filigree work. The sprawling
lawns with blooming flowers and dancing peacocks make
it a great place with royal effects. Now the Part
of the palace has been converted into a heritage hotel
and a museum known as Shri Sadul Museum.

Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum
It is one of the best museums
in Rajasthan offering the richest collections of terra-cotta
ware, weapons, miniature paintings of Bikaner school and
coins, royal costumes, ornaments, ancient statues etc. There
one can fine the great masterpieces of Harappan civilization,
Gupta and Kushan era and sculptures of the late classical
time.
